Quick start: first offer live in 3 minutes

Install, publish a first offer, add the widget to your theme, check it on the storefront.

MixMaxer adds bundle and volume offers to a Shopify store without touching theme code. Discounts are applied by Shopify Functions at checkout and the widgets are theme app extensions, so the offer keeps working even if our servers are down.

Step 1: Install

  1. Open the MixMaxer listing in the Shopify App Store and press Install.
  2. Approve the permissions. MixMaxer asks for products (to read what you sell and create hidden bundle products), discounts (to create automatic discounts), orders (aggregate analytics only), themes (read-only, to check whether the widget is placed), and cart transforms (fixed bundles).

Step 2: Pick a goal

The onboarding screen asks what you want first: more units per order (Volume discount), a fixed set (Bundle) or a gift with purchase (Buy X get Y). Choose a product and MixMaxer suggests a proven default, for example 1 = regular price, 2 = 10% off, 3 = 15% off. Change the numbers if you like.

Prefer to start from the Offers page? Offers › Create offer opens a gallery of ready-made templates (Buy 2 save 10% / 3+ save 15%, BOGO 50% off, Buy 2 get 1 free, free gift over an amount, Bundle & save 10%, Any 3 for a price, Frequently bought together −5% and more). Pick one, choose your products and press Publish now: three clicks. Start from scratch keeps the full wizard.

Step 3: Publish

Press Publish. Behind the scenes MixMaxer writes the offer to a metafield on your store (the widget reads it), creates an automatic app discount backed by the MixMaxer discount Function, and, for fixed bundles, creates a hidden parent product and registers a cart transform. The Offers list shows the offer as Active.

Step 4: Add the widget to the theme

Settings › Theme setup lists three elements with a button each: the product-page block (Add to theme), the cart upsell embed (Enable) and the card badges embed (Enable). Each button opens the theme editor with the element already placed; press Save in the editor. The checklist turns green after you press Re-check.

Step 5: Check the storefront

Open the product page of a product covered by the offer. You should see the tiers under the price. Add two units to the cart: the cart bar reports the unlocked tier and checkout shows the discount line “MixMaxer: <offer name>”.

Development stores get every Pro feature for free, so you can test A/B tests, CSV export and the weekly email before you pay.

Common problems

The Publish button is disabled.

The offer is missing something. The list under the button (“things to fix before publishing”) links to the step with the problem: no product selected, a tier without a discount, an end date before the start date, or a countdown without an end date.

Published, but the widget does not show.

In 9 of 10 cases the block is not on the theme yet or the theme editor was not saved. Follow the article “Widget not showing? Checklist”.

The discount does not apply at checkout.

Open the Offers list: an offer with a “Sync failed” chip could not be written to Shopify; open it and press Save changes, or press Re-sync on the dashboard. The error text is shown in the dashboard banner.
